Participants of the quest “Where is Tolstoy Hiding?” will set off in search of the great writer together with lady-detective Adelaide Svistulkina.
“This is a fun and educational alternative to a walking tour of Tula’s historic center. The central figure is Leo Nikolaevich, who, according to legend, has gone missing. His search is taken up by the tireless towns-woman Adelaide Svistulkina, a completely fictional character, but one who knows 19th-century Tula perfectly,”
— says the quest’s author, museum staff member Anna Bityukova.
The Tula Kremlin, Pyatnitskaya Street (now Metallistov), and Kazan Embankment—these are the places visitors will follow in the footsteps of Leo Tolstoy. Taking on the roles of characters from different eras, participants will become direct witnesses of historical events against the backdrop of Tula’s old streets.
The quest begins at the Odoevsky Gate Tower of the Tula Kremlin.
