Starting May 1, 2025, the Yasnaya Polyana Museum has opened a new season of bicycle tours. These tours follow the favorite walking and riding routes of Leo Tolstoy.
“Tolstoy’s favorite bench. The Kalinov Meadow, where the writer worked alongside peasants—and later, so did his literary character Konstantin Levin. The site of a water mill that stood there a century and a half ago. The Self-grown Forest and the Voronka River. All of this can be seen during a bicycle journey through Yasnaya Polyana,” says tour guide Igor Konov.
The guide will tell visitors about the landmarks of the estate and show how they looked in Tolstoy’s time. The route is 10 kilometers long.
Bicycle tours are available on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays. For organized groups of four or more, weekday tours are available at 4:00 PM.
Please note that bicycle tours are held only in good weather.
