|Part of Tula Marathon Will Take Place at Yasnaya Polyana|
In 2017, a series of races under the general name Tula Marathon will take place in Tula. The first stage of the marathon will be the Yasnaya Polyana Trail race, which will be held on April 30 at the Yasnaya Polyana estate.
A ten-kilometer route with a start-and-finish area and two meal stations has been prepared for the participants in the race. The Yasnaya Polyana Trail will have two distances, of 10 and 30 kilometers. The results will be recorded by means of an electroniс timing system. Every finisher will receive a commemorative medal and a sweet treat – a symbol of our city with a unique design.
On the day of the race, April 30, the start-and-finish area will open at 9:00 behind the estate’s field gate, which is located to the side of the main museum entrance, in front of the parking lot. The start for both distances is scheduled for 10:00.

- Tula Half-Marathon (Central Park, June 25);
- Tula Marathon (Central Park, August 28);
- Yasnaya Polyana Ultra-Trail (Yasnaya Polyana, October 1).
Trail running is a sport discipline that consists in running over natural trails at a free pace or as part of competition. It includes elements of cross country running and mountain running and is now winning more and more followers all over the world. The main difference between trail running and cross country running is the terrain: hills and even mountains, or deserts and thick forests are usually chosen for trail running.
