"Yasnaya Polyana" Cultural Center

An exhibition of landscapes by Andrei Chukin, an artist from Tula, will open at the “Yasnaya Polyana” Cultural Center. Andrei Chukin is a winner of the Russian Contest for Young Artists, and a participant in regional and national exhibitions. He was awarded certificates of the Arts Academy and the Russian Artists’ Union, and won a trip to France to further pursue his art. The artist’s works can be found in the collection of the Tula Regional Art Museum, at the A.T. Bolotov Museum (Tula Region), in private collections (the Eisenhower family, the USA), at the Cite des Arts Gallery (France), and other places.

Andrei Chukin’s paintings are a rare combination of artistic talent, fine taste, and perfect knowledge of world artistic experience from past centuries. Each of his works seems now elegant and light, now dramatic and intense, but always a solid and profound “story” of nature and the life around him.
